Book Blurb: In the Midst—a place for those who die young—there are no rules except one.
And Walker Callaghan, dead at seventeen, just broke it. She briefly revisited her earthly life . . . and the punishment is devastating.
Longing for her rebel love interest, Daniel Reid, Walker finds an ally in Cass, whose attraction to her is as alive as he is. “Life is short,” he tells her. “I’m banking on eternity. With you.”
In the second book of the Ascenders Saga, a proposed realm-jumping journey will take Walker and Daniel back to life again to search for something buried in history. They team with students from several other schools in the middle realm including a place for teens born with oddities. It’s home to the Claires . . . beautiful, ruthless, and quite dead seventeen-year-old quads who each have a different clairvoyant gift.
Can Walker survive another adventure of an afterlife-time—or will she find herself on the downside of eternity?
Gaber has talent running out her ears! Yes, this story is that good and that creative and book two did NOT, I repeat did not disappoint me!
Okay, the afterlife is something we all think about at some moment in our life. If you say you never did… you are lying. Gaber has created the best afterlife story EVER! Walker and Daniel have the craziest adventures here.
Ever consider an afterlife where you go to a school or well juvie? yeah, this place has that but between the school and juvie, oh and the Freak U their administrators and teachers are famous people we knew in history (whether that history is recent or very ancient).
Just think of taking self-defense classes from Bruce, yes… that Bruce!
Okay, enough of that… want to be blown away? READ this series! I can’t stress that enough. Ghosts are real and here, they come back to living realm for things and people left behind. NOT going to tell you the story but I will say Gaber’s writing is nearly flawless. Her world building or afterlife being is superb! Her characters are pristine and oh, so believable.
Adventure, romance, supernatural, and every emotion under the sun is crammed into this glorious novel!
Skypunch is a must read, 5 stars!
BTW, as soon as I hit the last chapter I had already ordered up book three… It will arrive Saturday!!!!
