Where did your path lead?

On this day in 2009, I was researching healthcare law cases for a class in my Bachelor’s program. ( I finished my degree in December of 2010)
Amazing how different the days are eight years later! Not working in healthcare at all was never something I considered. It’s a passion I fulfilled for many, many years. I loved to help others get the care they needed.
I was living in Florida – shopping for football gear for my boys on this day, working full-time outside of the home and trying to make a life my children and myself.
I was close to family. The furthest was only 8 hours away, an easy drive.
Today, my family is all over the world. All of my kids are adults and most have stepped out on their own fully.
I have since gained three more step children, who I gladly call my own – that raises the number of children to seven! I hate to call them step children as I embrace them in my heart, they are mine!
I currently have 6 grandchildren. One dog. One fish.
I am happily married to someone who loves me for me and inspires me at every corner!
I am in a career that is fun, challenging, and full of adventure! Something that was only a passing hobby at one point in my life.
As I reflect back, I am glad the path led me to where I am today! I am glad for the stumbling blocks that would erupt from the ground making me change course and build me up as a stronger, happier woman. I have found my peace spiritually, feeling more confident in my personal beliefs than any other time in my life.
Reflecting is good. It reminds of where we were, what we were doing, and, mostly, who we were.
Are you where you want to be? Are you at peace in heart, mind, and soul? If not, I urge you to find that within yourself… then, and only then will you find it in the rest of your life.

Where will your road take you?
